Candiates who have passed the EPPP and are pursuing licensure in the state of California must take the California Psychology Law and Ethics Examination (CPLEE). The exam is a 100-item multiple-choice exam (75 scored) that covers legal and ethical requirements for psychologists licensed in California. Candidates have 2.5-hours to complete the exam.
The CPLEE is administered by PSI licensure:certification, which has computer testing centers throughout California. Examinees requiring special accommodations and testing arrangements due to a physical or mental impairment must submit a request to the California Board of Psychology. Additional information about applying for and taking the CPLEE is available from the Board.
