CA LPCC Exam Packages

Which exams do I need to take to become a California LPCC?

All CA LPCC Exam Candidates are required to take both the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination and the California Law and Ethics Exam. If already completed and passed NCMHCE in another state, check with the BBS as it is likely you will not have to retest. For more information about which exams are required, please click here to view the LPCC Licensure Pathway Overview from the California BBS website.

If you need assistance in determining which study tool best fits your needs, please call our office at (800) 472-1931.
