Course description: 2016 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures provides a statistical resource for United States data related to Alzheimer’s disease, the most common type of dementia, as well as other dementias. This includes definitions of the types of dementia and a summary of current knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease. Additional sections address prevalence, mortality and morbidity, caregiving, and use and costs of health care, long-term care and hospice.

- Evaluate the statistics on the number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease nationally and for each state; women and men with Alzheimer’s and other dementias; lifetime risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease.
