On June 28th, our weekly Coaches’ Corner featured Jennifer and Melissa chatting about test-taking strategies.
In this video, Melissa and Jennifer debunked the common myth that either you are a good test taker or you are not. They explained that effective test taking is actually a skill that can be learned. Moreover, test taking is not a rote skill but something that requires adaptability and a familiarity with best test-taking practices. This is especially true of the various licensure exams in the behavioral health industry.
What this means for you is that if you’re preparing to become a licensed psychologist, counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist, you need to be familiar not only with the content of your field, but with the best test-taking practices.
